In today's episode, Megan and Christen share their summer plans and how they desire to cultivate a playful summer. Summer is a time for us to travel and discover new adventures in our own backyard. It's a season for us to pause, be still, and find our focus. To fully experience the peace found only in the sweet days of summer, we must pause and have some pure fun.
If you are ever feeling empty, mundane, or stuck in the season you are in, know that you are not alone sweet friend. Today's key verse is simple but powerful, "The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps (Proverbs 16:9)."
As women, we are naturally social beings. We are the keepers of the schedule and the calendar. God created us to be caregivers of our flock but all of this giving can leave us with an empty, burned-out feeling. Sweet sisters, this is not the way our Father wants us to feel. He longs to share His peace with us. Today, we share how we can make time for Jesus in our schedules, even if it's just five minutes here or there.
In today's podcast, we look closer at our key verse, 1 Peter 1:13: "Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ." We encourage you to think this week about what it means to "prepare our minds for action" as we move forward this week. How can we switch our mindset and empty our thoughts at the foot of the cross?
I am so excited for you guys to listen totoday's podcast interviewwith Valerie Thompson. She is full of encouragement for busy moms and gives easy, practical advice for self-care in the midst of taking care of our families.
This week we explore the fourth candle of Advent, peace, by looking at the thoughts of Mary as she stepped into her calling with purpose. We are all unworthy to receive God’s blessings based upon our own efforts. However, the Holy Spirit draws our barren souls to holiness.
The new year is almost upon us. While this week can be a time of both reflection and goal setting, we want to encourage you to seek REST. Slow down. Have a moment of silence. Don't try to start your to-do list quite yet. In today's episode, we walk you through our Ready for a Reset Worksheet (download it for free on our website) and we also share Valerie Thompson's interview about the importance of journaling, meditation, and breathwork. Allow this final week of the year to be a time of recovery and reset your heart, mind, and soul so you can start the new year fresh and ready.
If you haven't signed up for our New Year's Reset Session yet, visit our website today to reserve your spot! It will be on January 7 from 9-12 pm in Dothan, Al. Valerie will lead us in a mindset and movement activity to help us reset ourselves for the upcoming year!
In today's podcast, I am delighted to share my interview with Laura Loewen, my new friend from Flint, Michigan. I "met" Laura through Instagram and I wish we lived closer to have more fun conversations about things like 90's rap dance moves (just you wait!). In our discussion, we talk about ways to keep the Christmas season simple and special. Laura shares what Advent means to her and how her church prepares for the busy holiday season by #connectionnotperfection. I really think you guys are going to love today's interview!
